I've always thought Golding is simply trying to say that if you take man out of the environment that he has built from himself (cities, electricity and the such) and place him back in nature, that man will revert back to his caveman like senses.

human nature are evil in deep inside of us. golding conveys this idea to us by making main characters children. Children are supposed to be inncocent since they havent exprienced any evil out in the world yet but in lord of the flies, children attacks other people and have a war because its fun and its only way to survive

I thought it was an excellent movie and say lots about the human race. In a primitive setting we become animals.
