My sister and I both have our own sims 2 games, but would there be a way that we could have the same expansion packs with just stuff in it (the sims 2 glaour life, family fun) and sill play at the same time on different computers?

We need to know this to know how many games to buy. We do not have any of those games.

One thing you can try is to take out the CD after you start the game, and hand it to your sister to use. I've never tried it with the Sims 2, but it has worked before with other games. The reason why is that everything your computer needs is already on the hard drive, and it only uses the CD to start up.

The other thing you can do is download a no-cd hack so that you can play without the CD. I've never personally done this, so I wouldn't know where to look.

Good luck!

The thing is, you only need to use the disc of the last expansion pack you installed to play. Eg, if you installed The Sims 2, then The Sims 2 Nightlife, you will be using the disc from Nightlife to play, and not the disc from The Sims 2. So you can technically install the expansion packs in a different order and you will be able to both play at the same time.

For example:

1. If you want all the expansion packs (University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets), you can install Pets last and you will only need the Pets disc to play for that computer. The other discs are then available for use by the other computer.

2. If I'm not wrong (I haven't actually tried this before) you can install the expansion packs in a different order on the other computer. That is, dont install Pets last. Use the disc of the last expansion you installed to play. This way you can both play at the same time.

Once again, I have not tried step 2 before, as I installed mine in order. I advise you to back up your saved games first in case it doesn't work.

You could just make a copy of the cd you have and install it on the different computer. People do that from torrent sites all the time, then just take the one serial you have and use it on the different computer and it will work. And just register it to one account, and let your sister have access to the account as well to get downloads from the site if you do that kind of thing.
