Radiator stop leaks and pepper are pretty half assed ways to try to fix a radiator leak, though not supposed to, stop leaks tends to gum up things. If you are broke and don't want to go get the radiator repair shop, which I can understand because I got screwed over by a repair shop in the past. If you can find the leak, JB weld works really well. Just find the leak, clean it off if you can and apply JB weld to it and let it set and it will fix it a lot of times. I've repaired several radiators with small leaks this way without worry of pouring stuff inside it which can damage efficiency.

It's an old folk remedy. The modern equivalent is something like Alumiseal or Bars Leak. In my experience, these sometimes work temporarily if the leak is small enough, but the leak is likely to come back in a year or two. Only use something like this as a temporary measure - it's no substitute for a correct repair.

black pepper or a cracked egg will stop SMALL leaks if you have a large leak no amount of stop leak in the world will help you. I am curious about the or something else. Is that looking for other alturnatives, or wanting to fix a different problem?

Yes it can....and works quite well as a matter of fact. there is a methiod though...fill the radiator to just above the leak then add the black pepper..this is how it works the pepper particals loge in the hole and then swell from soaking up coolent. This swelling seals the leak and walla...your on your way

Stop Leak is a much better product. All black pepper will do is plug an extremely small hole.

Most stop leaks have metal beads that kling to everything and a 50% chance it finds the leak. I found that if you have to use stop leak there is an organic stop leak that works a lot better
