people, people, people. the chinese work force -- the billion population. the rest is details. when you have that many in expectation of newe consumer goods...it is a bonanza...you make a new fork (in china that would not apply) a billion people are on line or in line to buy it....what else....?
ps. the only regret...and the sad thing about to-day's china is "birth is restricted" and "male is preferred" to female...hope it helps in your quest.
