Seefeld,Austria (South Tirol) is a fab ski resort with loads of shops and things to do! I always go when I visit my family in Zirl. (Near Innsbruck.)

Not skied that many places in US, but I would defiantly recommend Steamboat, Winterpark base station is ok but the village is further away, East Coast resorts don't have the vertical height (in my opinion) for good long runs. For the best place to go for villages at the bottom of the lifts and good après ski come to Europe.
