I have a very small coolant leak, and decided to buy this metallic liquid that claims to fix radiator leak. I couldn't get the radiator cap loose (it may be rusted on), so I poured the "Leak Fix" into the overflow tank instead. Is this going to cause a problem?

it shouldnt harm anything,it just will pick it up anyways, but it would be nice if you could get the cap off, then it would work a little better.

that's no longer susceptible to have an consequence on the beginning of the engine with the aid of fact the overflow is barely linked to the radiator. much greater probably is that the Bars Leaks stop might solidify contained in the pipe that leads from the overflow to the radiator or limit the circulate, which will reason a difficulty if the radiator overheats in any respect. on the project beginning front, did you spill any fluid over the electrics or the starter motor mutually as engaged on the radiator or overflow tank ?

I don't recommend pouring that "leak fix" in anything. Your radiator has cores that go lengthwise in the radiator. Your antifreeze travels through these cores to cool down. Whenever you put bars leak or some similar leak fix in the system it will clog those cores and in time could cause your engine to seriously heat up. Just pinpoint where exactly your leak is and fix it the right way. That's what I would do if I was you.

A better way would be to locate the leaking spot then apply some JB Weld to it.
