I have an odd feeling that everything that I have ever had, ever wanted, or every cared about, is slowly slipping away from me and am beginning to feel empty. I seem to have lost everything that makes me human, and thee is an odd sense of peace inside me, yet it also feels empty. Whats wrong with me?

Nothing is WRONG with you. You seem to have changed your view. Your view will change many hundreds of times throughout life. Depressing things happen, good things, etc. Life is a crazy roller coaster ride and you can't see where your going, BUT the biggest thing is to have a healthy attitude. Life is a lot of things, but YOU are the one that has to face it and keep going. People sometimes see the death of a loved one as an end, and then overly process it into their own lives....reframing their picture of life through the DEATH of a loved one. We need to remember the good and the LIFE, that is around us. You make a conscious decision to go down the paths you go....please pick good ones. It's OK to be sad, mad, etc.....life is a roller coaster and you will have a roller coaster ride of emotions, but remember that you can be the master of your emotions AND the master of your FATE....it is all choices....what to do with the cards you are dealt. People win not by what their dealt, but how they play.

The buddha said everything is intrinsically empty, because it has a beginning and an end. Therefore, all things do 'slip away'.

As someone earlier described, you are probably realizing this. The question is, what do you do about it?

Well, the buddha taught thoughts of non-attachment (not mine, not me, not myself) and eliminating desire for things which will come and go.

That is the nature of the material world. Everything is temporary and full of misery here. So if you are now noticing it it means you are beginning to see situation here. Most people are so covered by illusion that they think this is reality. But you have to have the veils of illusion removed to see things as they are. The quickest and easiest way to do that is to chant the Maha Mantra or the Great mantra for deliverance. (Deliverance from all misery, suffering and illusion)
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Say it loud enough to hear each syllable at least 108 times. for all details go to http://www.stephen-knapp.com/chanting_hare_krishna.htm also go to other parts of the sight for e-books on universal truth and a wealth of information

You're becoming too accepting of low self-esteem...that's the only reason you'd feel at peace with what you just described. Maybe you're just happy to be presented with a clean slate!

You could be falling into depression, but I'm not an expert in this area. Be careful listening to any non-expert's advice. See someone qualified that can help you figure this out.

It sounds like depression...and is very treatable. Please see a doctor because sometimes physical issues, such as a hormonal imbalance, can bring about this type of thing
