Hi i had my period 29 days ago so strongly believed i was due on my period around now. I went to the toilet and discovered "egg white" discharge, as i know quite a bit about ovulation i know this can be a sign of it. So i got an ovulation test and low and behold im ovulating or due to in the next 2 days. What does this all mean? im due to have a period soon. is this right? should i see my gp? We've been ttc for 4 months and i have never ovulated so late before. Can i still fall pregnant so late in a cycle? please help ahhhhhhhhhhhh

Hi, Having been ttc for almost 3 years now there is one thing I know for sure about womens cycles and thats they can do anything they want anytime they want and have no explanation for it. Just when you think you have them a certain way they change. It is possible to ovulate anytime really, just usually 14 days after your last period is the usual. I have a period twice a year so have no idea when I ovulate. Good luck in the ttc and hope you get pregnant soon. Oh and a bit of advice, any sign on egg white stuff and get him in bed, its supposed to be a sign on ovulation so make the most of it in case it is.

What a lot of unhelpful advice there is out there!!!
Firstly, is there a chance you could be pregnant? If so then take a test. The amount of mucus your body produces changes wildly when you a pregnant - this could be what you are experiencing.
Every woman's body is different. The 28 day cycle is an average only and is not the norm at all. Many women have 40+ day cycles. I would recommend that you learn NFP so you can understand how your own body works. If you are married you should contact LIFE, they run fertility awareness courses.
An American organisation called the Couple to Couple League has an excellent home study course. My husband and I took this course and use this method of family planning.

Every woman is different...some women even ovulate During their period. If the ovulation test says you're in a high or peak fertility time... I would say listen to it.
My DH and I have been TTC for a year now and I finally bought a ClearBlue Easy fertility monitor which I will be starting to use as soon as my next period shows up....if it does at all. :)

Ovulation means that the egg has been released so you are at your most fertille time in your cycle. Your period should arrive around 14 days after ovulation if you do not concieve.
egg white fluid is also a sign that you are fertilile because this is the most ''sperm friendly'' cervical fluid you can have. it helps the sperm into the womb rather than act as a barrier like other fluid (creamy / dry)
I would recommend have sex for the next 3-4 days to make sure you definately catch your most fertile day!

wait a week if still no period than chances are you could be pregnant especially if your period was last 29 days ago.
Secondly if you really wanna know now..... Go to store buy first response pregnancy test it can detect prgancies even 4 days before your period is due. Yes it really works.
As far a ovalation goes like the other lady said yep its crap you get pregnant when your body wants to. those ovalation are just guess and base on certain woman it doesnt work for all.
remember every woman is different ovalation can occur anytime.

HOw exciting! When you are ttc-ing, ANYTHING goes when it comes to your cycle. Just the anticipation alone may change the way your body works. You could very well be prego! I would give it until *what would be* your next period. Then if it's a no show obviously take a test.

You ovulate about 14 days after the 1st day of your period, this is the time you are more likely to fall pregnant.....
This is the most ideal time to try for a baby,
your temperature rises

Normally you would ovulate on day 14 of your cycle, but it can be anytime.
As you are TTC take advantage of this information you have.

Yes you can become pregnant any time of the month. Everyone is different. Its a good thing that you are using the ovulation tests because they should help you a lot. Good luck.

yes you can become pregnant anytime in the month i think that cycle stuff is a crap just to make us stress more good luck and get busy!LOL!
