I had to have a c-section. My question to all other mothers who have had to have one is how long were you still sore afterwards. Where exactly did you hurt more while you were recovering? How long did you bleed?

congrats!!! is going to take at least 6 wks. before you feel no pain. shouldn't be bleeding anymore (on c-section), and do not lift anything heavy after 3mo.

Congrats! I had a boy also by c-section on October 23rd. I was sore at the incision site all the time for about 6 days, but I took Motrin to help. Then it hurt less each day, and now at almost 4 weeks it only gets sore if I do too much during the day. It seems to heal very quickly. The incision was the only place it has ever hurt. I still have some very light bleeding off and on, but I think I am almost done with that!

Good luck to you!!!

I had 3 c-sections - over 25 years ago!
My incision was the vertical cut - not the nice little bikini cut so popular nowadays.
I was up and going the very same day, every time.
How long does the soreness last? This depends on you pain threshold - if you have a high threshold, not very long, but if pain really hurts you - it will take you a little longer to recover.
Take your time - don't push yourself, even tho you didn't give birth the traditional way - it still takes a lot out of a woman to bear a child!

Oh yes - Congratulations & God bless you & your new baby!

Hi I had two and my second one was in june. I hurt the most in the lower part wear they cut me. It took me about 3 weeks before it got better. I want to let you know make sure you keep it clean with antibacterial soap and dry.I bleed about a month lightly. Dont worry it will get better and you will soon not even know that you had a c-section.
