I want to take a philosophy class Into into philosophy(1030) but do I have to take something else first?
It says that the prereqesites are "An acceptable placement score, or DSPR 0800 and DSPW0800.(Same as RODP PHIL 1030)"

Other classes offered in this area are

intro to logic 110
workplace ethics 120
religion in america 210
intro to biblical studies 260
..and a few more clases in the 200's

This is my first semester and I believe that the placement score means what I made on the ACT. which I did fairly well on it and should be fine in all areas from the ACT point.

I am kindof confused about this course number I notice that most courses like english are 1010 1020 1030 and so on. I do not see any other philosophy classes with 1010 or 1020...

If you could explain this I would appreciate it greatly thanks so much!

Well that is somthing you need to accually ask a college advisor or a the philosophy dept about. I'm guessing you will be allowed to take the intro class. The placement test score is not your ACT. You accually take placment tests in college (for english, math, and writing) and these tests tell you what level classes your ready for.
Most of the time the course numbers really don't mean all that much to the student. My best guess is that 1030 means that the courese is in philsophy, but also has a writing emphesis to it as well. Alot of philsophy classes are very heavily essay orientated.
