Not that it will make ANY difference to him, but does anyone think that if one addresses a letter to Bush @ the white house, that he will actually get to read it??? Should we write it to our congress-person, and then ASK if it would be shown to him??? I need to do a little venting as a young American, and would prefer that it get directly to the source.

Write to your congress person first explaining what you want. I would write a letter with less words but powerful overall vocabulary. REMEMBER no one likes details but people like short high impact sentences. eg JFK ("Don't ask what your country has done for you, what have you done for the country"); you know what i mean.

GOOD LUCK

His mail is probably read first by a secretary. Any letters that contain negative/ insulting/ threatening remarks will more than likely end up in the trash or sent to the FBI. Be careful what you write!

I think you write it to the white house and the think it on pennsylvania avenue but I don't know who will read it and he might not read it. he might just have someone call you. I don't know how it handled all I can tell you he might answer at all. there is no way to insure bush gets it and reads it. you can try it that is all I can say.

your letter won't make it to the President. I would however be respectful of your venting as you may get a personal visit from the security service folks. My advise to you would be to do more studying of the issues, then ask what ever outstanding questions you may have.

When did Dubya learn how to read? The last time I saw him attempting it was at grade school on 9/11.

I would write it in such a big format (like the whole side of a building) big that it makes the news, then he'll probably hear of it and be courious enough to read it

Nah, I don't think all those so-important people have any idea of reading letters from commoners.

Bush regularly frequents this very page, dutifully reading all the posts that we write. He is intrigued by the range of political views here and amazed by the thought that goes into everyone's answers.

Asker, please post all your frustrations here.
