for me the meaning of life is more about the question(s) than the answer

being that there are so many of us, and that despite many similar experiences we react very differently to each other, it is difficult to find a meaning to life that might be applied generically.

besides, genetics, biology and many other factors we do not admit to or aren't aware of play a part in the why of how we operate our lives, yes even mine and by the time I or anyone else researched all the issues invoved, explored enough references and connotations we would be a different person with different values and yet also share our ideology with an archaic framework of tools delivered to us by nature, an almost arbitrarily delivered assortment of ideas dependant and nurtured by our culture, and convictions and suspicions that religion and other faith based ideologies have stirred up to produce whatever world view that we hold we hold of life which we find comfortable and sustaining for us.

my lifes meaning so far has been as search to be worthy of my parents of my potential wife and children, worthy of my friends, the help I give, my God and the air I breathe.

Maybe in the future something else will give meaning to my life but for right now, striving to be worthy is what gives meaning to my life.

The meaning of my life is to become the best person that I can be (live up to my potential) and to make the world a better place (any contribution to any sphere of life).

The following quote from Hillel, I think is a good summation of the true meaning of my life:

"If I am not for myself, then who will be for me? And if I am only for myself, then what am I? And if not now, when?"

As a ray of light from the sun has meaning, and each ray is important, so is mine, making the way brighter and easier to see.

The meaning of life is meaning itself...I have found meaning in many aspects of my life...life *would* be meaningless w/ out it...wouldn't it?..

To quest for each instant of beauty, and to crush it with my bare hands. That's the destructive art of analysis. We make masterpieces out of our demolitions.
