im getting braces but do they hurt? will i be able to eat normal?

It depends on your ability to withstand pain, your orthodontist, and your teeth. For me my teeth were pretty messed up but it didnt hurt except the first day i got them on and from there on it was just trying to keep food from getting stuck or keep them from cutting up my mouth.

Some food will get stuck in your braces. And they hurt when they tighten them. But thats it

u cant eat sticky things im getting braces to so dont worry they wont hurt.

hi !!
i got braces for almost 3 yrs
no they don't hurt but after their putting u may feel pain! its normal and it lasts approx. for 2-3 days! then u will be able to chew and eat everything!!
it would be advisable that u cut down on sweets and especially chewing gums!
thats all!! smile and don't mind!! think bout ur nice smile afterwards!!

For me they didn't but for my sister they did. They hurt a little when you get them tightened but just take one or two advil and it will be fine. Eating normal wont be an issue but just dont eat really sticky stuff like gum, caramel and gummies.

yes braces hurt. but after a while, you will get use to it.

only when you get them tightened, then they hurt for 2-3 days and its hard to eat.
also, make sure you brush after eveery meal or food will get stuck in your braces and make your teeth start to dacay
