I have 3 kids the oldest is 6,4,2. There cousin has them hooked on Nintendo stuff and I'm wondering. Should I get them a gamecube or just wait for the stores to get the Wii back in stock?

Since the children are young yes because they have games like Mario that appeal to almost everyone and from my own experience it was an alright system but I was 11 when it came out and playing Madden wasn't great but since I'm 15 now it doesn't appeal to me anymore except for playing Super Smash Bros. Melee with my younger cousins that love it. So just go to like a local Pawn Shop and get it cheap with a couple of Mario games like Super Smash Bros. Melee, they fight but no blood comes out and it isn't a bad game,it's great for younger kids like them.

NO WAY. i recieved a gamecube and it pretty much sucks. I currently own a GameCube and I must admit it does not measure up to the standars of its competitors the PS2 and Xbox. Infact the gamecube has little games and i really would rather have a ps2. It is already very outdated and i hate just everthing about it. We have some good games but its very limited and it isnt even worth to buy. I suggest a ps2 because it has way more games and better graphics. the ps3 is too expensive. the wii just looks cheapy. and i dont think it will last or have a good chance against the ps3. But a ps3 is out of the question considering ppl would pay thousands to get it.

Personally I feel that the Wii is more worthwhile. I currently own a GameCube and I must admit it does not measure up to the standars of its competitors the PS2 and Xbox. The Wii, however, is very innovative and in my opinion is much better than PS3 and Xbox360. Also, Wii can play all GameCube games. GameCube will become increasingly outdated as your children grow up, but the Wii can keep them entertained for years to come.

To Correct the girl before me. When she said the " New " gamecube she is meaning the Wii that you have heard about as it said in your question. Personally since your kids are so little i would get them the gamecube because its cheeper and you can see how much they really use it. if they use it a lot buy them the Wii next year. I heard Nintendo Cant stop making gamecube games for another year.

in case you choose for to play T.P so badly, the final decision is to purchase a Wii, because of the greats video games popping out. yet once you only have adequate for a gamecube on the time, thats cool too. There are actually not any new gamecubes avaiable, so which you would be getting a used one, i'm no longer specific if it comes with a controller or no longer, yet im for beneficial it extremely is would not inculde a reminiscence card, so so you might purchase that seperate. purchase T.P used to save money. purchase the controller used if no longer coated with the gadget. It additionally doesnt remember which gadget you play it on, you will nevertheless get the insane snap shots. The wii only has only a sprint extra image capacity then the gamecube did, so your no longer lacking out.

I guess you could get them a Gamecube to keep them happy for now, since you can pick them up used for about £25 - £40 (mine was about £35 last summer)..... then get the Wii later, perhaps set both of them up on seperate TV's.... let's face it, with 3 screaming kids to cope with there's bound to be a few fights at some point if someone wants to play one game, and one of the others wants to play a different game.
