A FOX News special yesterday included a heated discussion on 9/11. The host of the program, Erich "Mancow" Muller, tried to portray his guest Kevin Smith--producer for the Alex Jones radio show-- as a backwoods conspiracy nut living in a shed.

Mancow used all the cliche straw man attacks to diminish the perception of 9/11 Truth, including naming the segment 'The Grassy Knoll,' asking Smith about Bigfoot, the Lockness monster and space aliens. However, Mancow could'nt refute any of Smith's information-- he could only restate his disbelief.

Smith brought up the fact that several of the alleged hijackers lived at the Pensacola, Florida Naval Air Station, according to addresses listed on their licenses and the fact that Mohammad Atta and others were trained at a base in Monterrey, California.

Kevin Smith also covered WTC Building 7's mysterious collapse and the poll-supported fact that 9/11 Truth is no longer a 'fringe' theory (84% reject the Official 9/11 account, believing the Bush Administration is either 'hiding something' or 'lying' in a SCIENTIFIC Angus-Reid poll and over 1/3 believe the U.S. Government carried out 9/11 attacks according to a SCIENTIFIC Scripps-Howard poll).

The hit-piece was fair compared with the usual FOX News treatment for 9/11 'conspiracy nuts.' If Bill O'Reilly were to set the bar, 9/11 guests should expect to have their mics cut off, have relevant information over-run by banter until commercial break, or, as in the case of Jim Fetzer's appearance, have O'Reilly even call for FBI surveillance and arrest.

"AreWeTher..." Thats beleivable. These guys stole military I.D's that had their names on them. I have a pretty common name with much better connections than guys living in caves in the middle east, and I assure you, I would never be able to steal a military I.D with my name on it no matter How I tried.

Its real easy to do.

The list of “conspiracy theories” is long. Do you know why all of these are still on the books as conspiracy theories? That’s right; no truth has ever been established to any of them?

Do you know how many conspiracy theories that have been on this list have been proven as “true”? Right again, NONE!

Do you know that all of these conspiracies are linked by a common element (common denominator)? Correct, they are all unproven!

Do you know what the odds are that any of these will ever be proven? Now this is just a guess but based on past experience, NONE!

•Bilderberg Group—A well-known informal, international, annual meeting of influential people that some critics allege have a sinister purpose. Its name is that of the hotel in the Netherlands where the group first met in 1954.
•Council on Foreign Relations—Conspiracy theories surrounding the membership of this foreign policy think tank.
•Elders of Zion—A supposed conspiratorial group bent on Jewish global domination, as portrayed by the forged document, The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
•Eurabia—The idea that Europe is becoming a satellite of the Islamic world at French "instigation" due to the activities of the Parliamentary Association for Euro-Arab Cooperation.
•Freemasons.
•The Gemstone File—Details a wide ranging conspiracy involving Aristotle Onassis, the CIA, FBI, and the Mafia in addition to John F. Another theory posits that HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, was invented by either white scientists in the World Health Organization (WHO), or by "The Jews", as a way to kill African Americans and destroy the black race. This latter view is heard most often among groups such as the New Black Panther Party and Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam. Still more theorists claim that HIV does not exist, does not cause AIDS, or that persons who test HIV positive can take certain nutritional suppliments (or other forms of alternative medicine) and eventually test HIV negative. See AIDS Reconsideration for more information on the topic.
•Apollo moon landing hoax accusations-Proponents of this theory claim that all of the Apollo moon landings never happened and were "staged" in a Hollywood movie studio.

It conspiracy nuts selectively quote from the articles or evidence.
For example the newsweek article sounds like it had definite proof that the terrorists trained out a Naval Base. But when you read the article it is far from it. It is more likely the terrorists stole the identifications.

There are people that have boxes and boxes of information that "prove" the Nazis did not kill six million Jews despite massive evidence to the contrary.
These 9/11 conspiracy believers are in the same class. They have a patholigical hatred of the Bush administration that they will clunch to any tid bits of so-called "evidence" that advances their pathological theory and will discard the most overwhelming evidence to the contrary. The wackiest theory yet is that before one of the planes hit the world trade center it fired a missile!
However, I am sorry that this bit of insanity will not die. It will live as long as people among us that believe they were abucted and probed by Aliens, an alliance between the KGB, the Mafia, and the CIA killed Kennedy and so on.

Fox News would only have such a guest so they could make him look crazy. That's always the answer with conspiracy theories. I would certainly disagree that the deaths of JFK,RFK and MLK are only conspiracy theories because we don't have proof. The fact is we'll never get the facts because those government records will never be released national security). Some have and they make conspiracy theories even more strongly suspected. Let's never do any critical thinking-let's be sheep!

I appreciate what you are doing. Many are just too frightened to comprehend the fact that the US government may have had a role in the 9/11 attacks. It is much more pleasurable for them to assume it was "a bunch of pissed off Muslims."
I just watched the show on prisonplanet and you are correct. Every time that man was given proof, he stumbled and fumbled and ended up asking about UFOs and Bigfoot. What a joke.

Although i would not expect you to change your mind i will be happy to present what the Bull could not. Standing on the side walk on the day the planes hit the Buildings, watching as people died, and following the trail of the people involved, i do not doubt the official version. You people going through life with your head in a dark position must be difficult, i can empathize with you because i truly believe that Kevin Smith is one of OSAMA'S lovers.

First, because Fox is not news - it's entertainment. What other "news" show would invite a guest to be interviewed and then proceed to interrupt, demean, humiliate and mock him and conclude by telling him to "shut up"? What other "news" broadcast would pit conservatives against liberals during their air time? It's hard to believe anyone takes this stuff seriously, but apparently a lot of folk do.

I didn't see the special you mention but I assume Muller used the usual churlish tactics to ridicule the guest rather than make any effort to listen to the opposite side of a controversy. What else do you expect from Fox propaganda?

If I didn't know better, I'd think this Arewethereyet guy is my AF brother. Seriously.

If you've got 1/2 an hour, there's a pretty good South Park episode that handles the 9-11 "Truthers."

I think Lucky has it.

I saw that.....I was proud to see Smith stay calm and not look at both of them and just flat up say " are you two this blind to what is right in front of you?"

After that I got back into some of the video's, etc from Smith and Jones. Then came across "the dark side of the moon", and not the Floyd version. Watched that and who did I see....Rumsfeld....who flat up was the one that started and created the fake moon landing. He even admits it in the movie.

So now Rumsfeld is back in Nixon days and rigs the entire moon landing and pulls it off as it was really done and to this day many Americans believe it. Then you look at fact GHW Bush was part of CIA and was in Dallas and in motorcade when JFK was shot.

Then you look at who is in office now, ties to both, and then you witness 9/11.

HOW MUCH CLEARER DOES IT HAVE TO GET AMERICA??

Did you see that clip of Rumsfeld's twin from Nazi's WWII days? The beginning of cloning? Notice even the hair part and receding hair line is identical. Plus most forget that the USA brought in EVERY Germany engineer and scientist after the war.

Obviously because Fox News is the most biased news channel on the air right now. Fox News doesnt have to refute the evidence of 9-11 Truthers, their core audience will openly mock anything Fox tells them to.
