Ive dropped it in the past, but it works perfectly fine. But sometimes when it goes in hibernate, it wont show no picture. I will have to restart it a billion times....then finally it come back to normal. What can be this problem, Ive dropped it in the past, but it was a very soft drop. I also want to mention I have very very very very very very low disk space on it, could this be the problem.

In order to be able to use hibernation mode you need to have at least 2x the amount of ram you have in disk space. For example if you have 128 ram, you need 256mb of free disk space to be able to use hibernation. I don't know about the black screen problem though. The only thing I can think of maybe needing a new battery (not recharge; a new battery)

If you get warning message for low disk space, then run cleaning disk and defragment to get more space, or a new disk drive.
Otherwise; mostly virus, so save your files and reinstalling windows XP with reformating C: drive. The sooner the better to avoid HDD's damage.

big_d,,, my ThinkPad laptop does the same thing ! It might even "flicker" sometimes; i.e. that "welcome" screen blinks on and off repeatedly. I asked my tekkie-wizard brother about it and he thinks the screen/monitor/display whatever you call it, might be failing. He's surprised it lasted this long. HOWEVER, I found that if I 1) restart once; and 2) then - I know this sounds kooky but it works, hit Function-F7, slowly repeating the latter - it will eventually "catch" and "stick". But then - what do I know. (My brother says Fn-F7 shouldn't have a thing to do with it, but it does, and it works, and I figure at least I'm not rebooting 10 times over!)

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
