Well, I can't say for sure it's better, but I personally prefer the 360. Here are my reasons why as I do have both systems to compare. I do prefer my 360 over my PS3, but again, it's in the eye of the beholder. These are the facts: the 360 has more games mainly because it got off to an early start, it's 49.99 a year to be online, there are more games available for download, both online for download, and on the shelf. The 360 is less expensive and is backwards compatible with old XBOX games. The PS3 plays blu ray, the PS3 has free online, the PS3 has a better track record for reliability and yes, it's more expensive. However, a price cut was announced and should be down to 299.99 by the fall for the PS3. HOWEVER, with the exception of a few exclusives for the PS3, XBOX 360 and PS3 basically have the same "future" lineup of games. Exclusives are becoming a rarity in the console world, and while both systems have their share of exclusive games in their lineup, it should not be your deciding factor. On the basis of people online and the people who have 360 over PS3, XBOX 360 should be your system of choice if you're an online gamer. XBOX Live is still the best in the business, and the amount of games for download, the ability to play old XBOX games on your 360 is a huge plus. PS3 did a big boo boo when they stopped making PS3 backwards compatible. People with their beloved PS2's with all those games don't want to rush out to buy a PS3 because the system won't play those games anymore. I was lucky enough to have an earlier PS3 with the backwards compatibility and still use it all the time. The PS3 is a great system, it's reliable, has blu ray, has some great games. I just played Pacific Rift (MotorStorm 2) and it is the most "graphically" stunning game I've seen yet. It neesd more games like that, and it certainly shows how powerful the PS3 is. PS3's online is coming around, I still download many games off their PSN network and there are some exclusives on that, that is NOT on XBOX 360. PS3's onilne gaming is also free, so take that into consideration. 360 still is 49.99 a year. A bit steep, but you get a very robust online with movies, demos, arcade classics, etc, good stuff, but still maybe a bit pricey. If you care about graphics, well, on paper the PS3 has more specs. In either case, I can honestly say both are very impressive. As of late, I've noticed the PS3 has been raising the bar. Metal Gear 4 was the most impressive game I've seen yet, on any console. Pacific Rift (MotorStorm 2) is the most beautiful racer I've ever seen, and yes, it's only on PS3. Not to say 360 is a weakling in the graphics department. Gears of War 2 blew me away and the last two Call of Duties (also on PS3) look every bit as good as they do on the PS3. In the end, both have great graphics, so don't base your decision on that because it's really too close to call. ***My deciding factor for me preferring 360 is that PS3 will no longer play PS2 games. I loved having the ability to play my old PS2 and PS1 games on my first PS3 . But when I sold that one and bought the new one, I had to sell my PS2 games because I could no longer play them as the new systems are no longer backwards compatible. Other than that, the PS3 is right up there with the 360. But because of that, I choose the 360 over the PS3 and I think 360 has a little better online experience too. ***

Well I'm not going to make up stupid non-reasons to fill out the ten, but I will say the biggest difference is that PS3 comes with the newest HD disk format (bluray) right out of the box, so that make it so you don't have another part you have to buy like the HD-DVD player for the Xbox 360. Plus this is Sony's 3rd generation of game system, and Xbox's 2nd generation, so Sony probably has more bugs worked out. Also Xbox=Microsoft if that means anything to you ;)

1) the controller is easier to handle/hold
2) free wifi
3)exclusive games ( Uncharted, little big planet, metal gear solid, last of us) when all Xbox has are the failing halo series.
4)compare the graphical difference on the 2 and try telling yourself Xbox is still better
5) no red ring of death. Xbox breaks easily.
6)Xbox is way bulkier than ps3
7) the controller is seriously hard to handle with fighting games while the ps3 controller is very well built and easy to hold
8) you can charge ps3 controller while you have to get batteries for gaybox (cough cough. I mean Xbox)
