Connery felt the need to move on, so he was replaced for one film, which i understand tanked in theaters, so Connery was asked to return, which he did for one or two films, before being replaced by Roger Moore.
in 1982/1983 Connery and Moore both released a Bond film(Connery's "Never say never Again' wasn't officially part of the franchise)
after Moore, Timothy Dalten did two films in 87?, 89?(Brosnan was supposed to take over instead of him, but his Remington Steele contract prevented it)
Brosnan eventually took over with Goldeneye and made 4 films
Now Daniel Craig is Bond in Casino Royale, the 21st official film, and based on the first Novel by Fleming

That might have been before Sean Connery took the role. I am not sure. I hear they have changed bond to a new guy because they felt that Sean Connery was more of a superhero than a bond and that he was too silly. I wish they did not choose him for a new james bond. I hear the movie was not good. I hear it was something that bond fans did not like. It was unlike a bond film no gadgets and bond is not as much of a gentle man now. I am upset they messed up the bond films.

Sean was tired and burned out. George who sold cars did it for 50K total! Sean did Diamonds are Forever donating all the profits to a Scottish Orphanage. He later did Never say Never Again and that was the last of his James Bond life!

stable one. i think of Roger did...he carried it off extra comically. yet I do bear in techniques as quickly as whilst Connery made a remark some hefty-sized, Russian woman that looked like she ate her way during the iron curtain....
