In Michigan ( It is a STATE system... Correct?)
Altho I don't think it should be ABOLISHED...
I do believe it should be much more difficult to get state assistance. It is so much easier to get on social security disability and food stamps to survive than to even TRY to be self supporting. I'm SURE that if it were cut off and it was "work or eat" then somehow alot more people would suddenly find jobs!!
(I say this because I personally know or have known many who have lived off the system for generations!)

yes, too many people take advantage of it. Immigrants get everything for free, it is really unfair to the rest of the people who have worked all of their lives and are still struggling to make ends meet.
