I don't think that has anything to do with your chances of having a boy or girl. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister and there seem to be more girls born in to our family than boys.

brother1 has two kids, 1 boy and 1 girl
brother2 has two kids, 1 girl and 1 boy
sister has 4 kids, all girls

I'm 31 weeks pregnant with first baby, a boy.

well really none of that matters- especially on your side. The parent that is "responsible" for sex of the baby is the daddy. (this is because your eggs all have x chromisomes, and some of his sperm are Y chromisomes and some are X chromisomes... and XX is girl and XY is Boy)

Also keep in mind the boy sperm tend to "swim" fatser but live less time than the girl sperm (who are slow but live longer) so if you are trying for a girl i would recommend inserting sperm a day or two before ovulation and for a boy on the day of ovulation. **keep in mind this is not fool proof- the only thing that is is having a doctor separate his sperm in a petri dish and having the correct sperm inserted into an egg and then having the egg implanted into your uterus. Good luck i hope that helps

That has nothing to do with it. My dad was the 1st of 2 boys and has 4 sisters. The girls have 1girl 1 boy; 4 boys; 2 girls. The boys have 2 girls: 1 boy 1 girl. So with just my dad's siblings, your idea doesn't work. There is no way to predict or guess.

The sex of ANY child is determined by the chromosomes carried within the sperm of the males (father). I have never heard this theroy but sounds like an old wive's tale. My best friend is the only male in a family of 6 children yet his wife (an only child) gave birth to two sons and a daughter.

your siblings don't predict what sex your future children will be. your partners sperm is the only thing that causes a baby to be male or female, since women only have x chromosomes in their eggs, but sperm can have either y or x. so if you want one gender over another, hope your guy's sperm has more of one, or that they're faster swimmers.

No matter how many siblings you have, every time you get pregnant you have a 50/50 chance of having either sex.

It depends on the guy who is making you pregnant. The sperm chooses boy or girl.
