I was noticing in every store there are Christmas decorations up, but no Thanksgiving decorations (except in the grocery stores). Will Thanksgiving be totally overrun by Christmas? And do you even care if it is?

I don't think Thanksgiving will be overrun. Most people I know don't decorate for Thanksgiving. What makes me sad is how commercialized Christmas has become. It's all about sell, sell, sell. I have seen Christmas items in the store since August!

Sad to sat it has been for a number of years. when I managed a retail store my district supervisor let the individual store managers determine when we were to decorate for Christmas. I refused to let the store be decorated for Christmas until after Thanksgiving ( we did decorate for Thanksgiving ) many customers told us how nice it was and so we ended up not losing anything money wise and actually gained a little respect.

it gets worse every year. before Halloween is even here, Christmas stuff is being but out. It's a big money maker but Thanksgiving is about America evolving and it should be celebrated more.

No Thanksgiving represents everyone, it even predates Christmas. People have given thanks for a bountiful harvest long before Christianity came on the scene, its safe don't worry.
