What a bunch of CROCK! Michigan LOST! PERIOD. Why in the world would they move down only one? USC lost to a unranked team, HOW IN THE WORLD ARE THEY NO. 2?

USC lost to Oregon State, I believe, an UNRANKED team. Which should have put them out of contention totally.

This question isn't about who I think should be in their place. It's a matter of LOST to an UNRANKED team, and who had their chance and BLEW it! So please answer the question, don't answer with another question.

LSU lost to Auburn by 4 points earlier. Did they move back only one position? No. They then lost to Florida and went even further back. Florida and Auburn were both ranked higher than LSU. I say put USC back to about #12 or so and move Michigan back to # 7 if we are going by the previous logic. USC lost to an UNRANKED team.

USA Today is the worst newspaper ever. I don't put credence in anything in it.
However, putting USC at #2 isn't that ridiculous. I pains me to say that USC really should be behind Michigan, but I think people would rather see a new matchup in the national championship.
I don't understand you. Who do you think should be #2 and #3?
When ranking, who should be ranked what is ALWAYS relative. DUH. What if every team had lost to an unranked team? No one could be #2? Would no one play for the national championship?
The question of who should be numbers 2 and 3 of course depends on who else is out there. Now, if you are saying the USA Today poll sucks, you must have someone else in mind for 2 and 3. The argument that USC and Michigan shouldn't be 2 and 3 makes no sense unless you have someone better to replace them!
Ask better questions if you don't want a question in response.

Michigan lost a close game to the #1 team, so they deserve to still be in the top 3. USC beat Cal, a ranked team and if they beat Notre Dame, another ranked team, they should be #2, but not now.
Florida ran up the score on a cupcake, so they shouldn't move up.
In my opinion, Michigan should still be #2.

POLLS are a beauty contest. PERIOD. Until a playoff system is in place in Division 1A football, there is NO national champions only beauty contestants.
OSU looks sweet, this year XOXOXO
Michigan looks like the ugly sister. Right now however she has the most money and political capital, so she's in because the Big Two Little Nine says so.

Most do not want a UM-OSU rematch, but the BCS Poll is the one that counts. By the way Cal was a ranked team.
