that's rather vague. just what do you mean? if you're talking about cancer, i've got hours and hours of conversation for you on that subject...just read my profile. obviously it's better to cure than to kill, but that's a generality, as is your question.

It's only better to kill if the person is in a lot of pain and won't fully recover.

This is a strange question for the "teaching" category. My first thought, however, are the words of the Hippocratic Oath: I swear ... to never do harm to anyone. That works for doctors, and I think it's good advice for everyone.

in some instances yes it is....

people have sick dogs put down, if a person has no quality of life etc who are we to condemn them to more pain?
