I am a french and I would like to work as an assistant teacher at the beginning of 2007. I know the way to apply for a beginning in sept but it's more difficult to find out answers for a beginning in Jan. It may not be possible. Do you think it is possible to apply directly to schools.
I've got another request: I am looking a website "of advertisement". In other words I am looking for au pair advertisement and others....
Thank you very much for your kind help
Aurélie

If there is a French teacher that has to go on sick leave or maternity leave, then you will be perfect. It does not hurt to apply. Get your name out and you will be able to have the chance if there is an opening.
Even if it ends up being just for a few weeks you will at least be able to get experience. Check with your university advisor. Schools often contact the advisors and ask about good new teachers who can fill in for part of the year. Let your advisor know that you are interested and then you will have an even better chance.

It depends on the state you apply and what college classes you have taken.
