I can open any site on Mozilla, except anything linking to a PDF file. I just get an error message saying "[file name] could not be opened because associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences."
I don't know what they mean. I can't find anything about preferences or PDF files anywhere. I'm assuming you do it from the part where it has "File, Edit, View, Go, etc" but I can't find it. I tried clicking Tools and then Options, but I don't see any option referring to PDF files.
It's kind of annoying having to go back to Internet Explorer just to see a PDF file, or having to save it to the computer and then open it was Adobe.
How can I fix this? Thanks!
PS: It's not that Mozilla and PDFs just aren't compatible; my roommate has been using Mozilla for years and PDFs work fine on her computer. But she can't find that setting to fix it either.

I have just uninstalled and reinstalled both Mozilla AND Adobe. So I have the most up-to-date versions of both. I tried downloading plugins and stuff too from the Mozilla site and the Adobe site and nothing works.
(I asked this question before and didn't get very helpful responses, so I'm asking again... Is there ANYONE out there that knows how I can fix this? It's so annoying having to go back and forth between Internet Explorer and Mozilla JUST because of PDF files. Especially when I'm doing research or papers and stuff and almost everything is on PDF files.)
I love Mozilla, it's so much faster, reliable, and has less pop-ups, that's why I'd rather fix the problem than just give up and use IE. So don't suggest that please.
Thanks!!
