It seems like males really love to be around each other - from watcing tv to going out to eat. Why do men like to be around each other so much? I think men would be more likely to take a bullet for their buddies than women would be lol.

I don't know. I'm a man, and I don't really fit that template. I spend most of my time with my wife. I don't really "hang out" with my friends outside of a business setting.

male bonding is a different dynamic; not for every hour of the day, but here and there.
When guys hang out, it's okay just to watch TV, or drive around, without chatting endlessly. It's a change of pace, a sort of grounding, from being around female energy, which can build up a nervous edge to it.

Why do women like being around women alot? Same reason.
And I have to agree with other replies. Women are.... catty wenches. They're stressors. A woman can stress you out without even trying.
Look at me saying that and I'm a woman. Then again, any guys I've talked to say I don't act like most women.
I prefer being around guys too.

Maybe because the friendship is more genuine.
I think with guys they usually get problems out in the open and women tend to keep things secret if someone is annoying them.
So at times women will do more pretending to be friends just so there's less upset.
In general of course. and just my opinion.
