Most of the Iraqis want us out too when we run out of money, sending our people over there was a big mistake. The way Saddam was running the country(with an iron fist) may be the only way it can be run ,now there is only a bunch of renegades waiting to step in for the kill as soon as we leave and it will all start over again. We need to stay home and if anyone wants attack be ready for us to take everything they have even their dirty underwear.

Using our military as a police force seldom works. The military accomplished it's goal of getting Saddam. Iran, Syria, and other Arab nations are strong influences in the affairs of Iraq. The cultural difference do matter. And like Vietnam, Iraq is a quagmire. If we leave now it may make the terrorists more active but if we stay we may continue like the last few years.

You want Syria or Iran to run in, fill the vacuum and use Iraq as a staging area for attacks on Israel?
Iran's stated policy is to bring about the end of days. They're trying very publicly to build nukes, and have recently suggested that the time has come to obliterate Israel.
If things are bad there now, allowing Iran to take over would be worse for the whole world. Noting in the world is as simple at we want them to be.

Yes, you and many many other Americans. I think that the Bush administration went into Iraq for the wrong reasons, without sufficient intelligence, and without strong enough attempts of diplomatic relations. However, we have to finish what we started. We have caused, in my opinion, more problems in Iraq, more anti-American sentiment, and possibly another Vietnam-like situation. But there's no turning back now, and our country will suffer for its mistakes, and hopefully LEARN FROM THEM. What an idea, looking to the past to avoid future mistakes.

i agree. getting in was a bad idea in the first place. i mean the reasons we went into iraq in the first place cannot be justified. the media and government say that we are responsible to bring democracy to the world, but of all the non-democratic states around the globe, we chose an oil-rich country. its called colonialism. its what britain did to india for tea. its what america's doing to iraq for oil.

Stop reading the National Enquirer. Do you not think that these people deserve a democracy? The women do not deserve to be treated like real people? Get a clue. Furthermore, no one cares what YOU want. We need to do what is best for the world, not just attend to your wants and desires.

I couldn't agree more; I believe that we should never have gone there - you can't wage war against an idea.
