Dell just opened another major "customer support" center in India. I've bought nearly $20,000 in computers for my company this year...all Dell. But after many phone calls to Dell support to people who barely speak English, I returned the last two laptops and bought our first two Apple computers. Having used PCs forever, I was a little nervous about the switch. Now it's been about a month and I can tell you this: WE MAY NEVER BUY ANOTHER PC AGAIN. The no-accent-support, the quality of the product, and the Intel Core 2 Duo processors are great!

Are you kidding? Try NetZero for customer support. The stuff you should be able to do Online isn't available online....they make you call a number....then make you wait for 30+ minutes (sometimes being disconnected several times and starting all over). Then when you finally get through to someone (and get put on hold several more times) they generally don't do what you wanted anyway. I've cancelled two accounts from NetZero (one for me and one for a family member) and each time it took an entire pay cycle to do...YES....30+ days. Both initial calls I received confirmation of cancellation.....and the next month I was billed...called back with confirmation numbers...which they said we're valid. I never argued it much as the one bill of mine was for like $4.99, but it is still the point of piss-poor customer service.

Do not mention BT to me, my mum rang up to get a refund for when we were supposed to have broadband but didn't (101 days!). You wouldn't think that would be difficult, but she was on the phone for 45 mins while they passed her from one department to another. Anyway, now they seem to think that she wants to manage her bills online because they sent ME an email to confirm the account details! When I read it I had no idea what the feck it was going on about. They're just idiots!

I agree, I moved to a new place about a month ago and still having problems getting connected. They keep telling me if I'm not connected by 8pm to ring them. Then when I do I'm told that the help desk closes at 5.30. Not only that but I'm kept hanging on the phone while, 'they are trying to conect me' and, if the inconvenience wasn't enough, I have to pay premium rate charges to get through to THEIR help desk to try and sort out THEIR mistake. I've given up and going to try another provider. BT suck (ps. If you're wondering how I'm linked to yahoo, I'm on a laptop. My Pc is standing idle in the corner)

I had a really bad time with peugeot when I first bought my car. So much so that they reduced me to tears. They phoned me at work one day and told me I had an hour to get to their office & pay them £300 which was supposedly an outstanding balance which I knew nothing about.
The man was so rude to me when I said I could not leave work & that I had no idea of an outstanding balance. He threatened to take the car back off me until I paid up.
In the end It turned out they had made a mistake & I did not owe them anything. I didnt get an appology for their mistake. Isnt it funny how they are all nice to you before the sale & treat you like crap after the sale!!!!!!!!

Dell actually drive me to the point of despair. They lie and then when i point out they lie just deny it over and over again even though i have proof. they put the phone down when they don't want to continue the call even when I'm pleasant. I have called them at least 10 times about the same problem , even when i tell them the problem they put me through pointless temporary measures until it inevitably breaks again and again.

One tel are pretty damm bad too
