Is the current hype over the latest Bond film over the top or perfectly reasonable? There seems to be barely a day that goes by without there being some kind of Jame Bond-themed programme or feature. It's hard to believe it's only been in cinemas for 2 days!

The thing is that it is nothing like the Bond films that we have had for the last few years.
This is a good gritty film and because of the back to basics type story it is worth talking about.

I think the hype worked on me 'cos I went and saw it expecting a lot. It was ok but I left feeling underwhelmed.
I expected gadgets but saw product advertising all over the place instead. (a certain mobile co.) Found that annoying. Must admit there are some good stunts. Oh and the director must have been a fan of that base jumping thing too.. It may as well have been any old film really though - not what I hoped for from a bond film.

Go see the film, it more than lives up to the hype. I was a James Bond cynic till I saw the latest one last night. It's amazing and so is Daniel Craig.

I guess I just haven't been watching much tv or listening to radio because I haven't seen that much. Actually, the one thing that is out of control is the product tie-ins that got some kind of sponsorship. Those ads play constantly, but I don't hear any for the actual movie.

OTOH I heard this was an absolutely fantastic film and I will definitely see it.

Hmmm....I think you are in the U.K., so it might be different there than in the U.S.

Yeah your right,

Im gonna be suprised though if it is any good. I love the Bond films but I think they've made a big mistake with the new Bond and remaking the first film. They should have left it and carried on creating new stories.

It is so overhyped. First there was hype about how rubbish it was going to be then about how great it is. I don't care I'd rather go n see a film that wasn't so publised that u don't actually no what he's about to say n whats about to happen.

when i went to see it this weekend, i was afraid that it was going to be a little over-the-top, but it wasn't at all! it was the best movie i think that has come out of this year! i highly recommend seeing it, it's full of suspense, perfect timing, hott actors, and a really good plot. it had me sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time! a must see!
