I will be on the road visiting 4 or 5 states. I have a laptop, wireless or dial up? I do not wish to have a contract.

most any company that provides dsl will give month by month service. call a phone comapny when you get here and ask them for dsl service.

Ok, if you have a laptop see if its enabled to pick up a wireless signal. If it isn't, go pick up an adaptor. You will find that most hotels emit an internet signal so even if you arent staying in one, just go park near their front doors and you can usually pick it up. Or, if you want to relax, just walk in! You'll look like you belong and you wont have to pay for any internet!

most trailer parks will have free wireless connections, hotels as well. Remember, as a Canadian citizen you cannot stay more than 6 months without a visa.
