If you have Cingular, then you have Accessory warranty for 12 months. All you have to do is take your original receipt or invoice to any Cingular Owned Retail store and they'll exchange the battery for you if they have it in stock. If they don't, they'll have it sent to you. If you don't have your original Proof of Purchase paperwork and you purchased your phone in the store, they may be able to look up the purchase in their computer.
Customer Care is NOT able to send out duplicate invoices.

Most manufacturers have a 1 year warranty on the phone and battery. Take it to a Cingular store and ask them to replace your battery since it's less than a year old.

If you call the provider you can probably get a discount on a new battery but the warranty doesn't cover the battery in most cases. They usually give a discount on batteries if you've had it less than a year. It's usually 50% for 3 months and less, 35% for 6 months or less and 25% for 6 months to a yr.

Since Cingular gave you the battery along with the phone, i dont see why not. I would take it to a Cingular store and they should be able to give you a new battery.

I would have long gone through the provider, alternatively than the company. The service will most often simply do an alternate (after 30 days you get a refurbished device), but you don't ought to wait various days for it to be shipped to you, you then put the non working device in the box that the brand new(refurbished) unit came in, and ship it again. Whilst you send it again to the company to get constant or replaced, you take care of the 3 to 4+ weeks of shipping from side to side, plus the time to discover whats is incorrect and if it is whatever that may be constant, before getting it fixed or replaced.

i might want to have lengthy handed by the service, fairly than the producer. The service will many times do purely an substitute (after 30 days you get a refurbished gadget), yet you do not ought to attend more effective than some days for it to be shipped to you, then you placed the non operating gadget contained in the field that the recent(refurbished) unit got here in, and deliver it decrease back. once you deliver it decrease back to the producer to get fastened or replaced, you manage the three to 4+ weeks of delivery decrease backward and forward, plus the time to make sure whats is inaccurate and no matter if that is something which could be fastened, formerly getting it fastened or replaced.

Read the warranty that came with the phone. I may be wrong, but I think that the battery is not covered (or is covered by a separate warranty).
