Tiptronic is one, Chrysler has the select shift and there are more. They all pretty much come with O.D.

There's a couple different designs out there. Some, like Chrysler's AutoStick, are automatics that have provisions for manual control. Others, like the sequential manual gearbox that Toyota put in a few of their MR2's, are actually manual gearboxes shifted by computer controlled servo motors.

Overdrive refers to a transmission that can spin its output shaft faster than its input shaft. Most 5 and 6 speed manuals can do this; so can most 4 speed automatics and a few 4 speed manuals.

You have been watching too much TV. There is no one transmission that will change from automatic to manual

as long as the bell housing bolts line up with the block and the torque converter to flywheel/flex plate bolts/studs line up, any tranny can go into any engine. some adaptations may have to be made, cooler lines, frame size and the like.
