Who the hell's idea wasit to replace the old Anakin Skywalker(Sebastian Shaw) with the young Anakin Skywalker(Hayden Christensen)? George Lucas is really calling us all idiots. It's like all who have been seeing Return Of The Jedi for 26 years don't know that the man who appears as a spirit at the end of Return Of The Jedi IS Anakin Skywalker. I saw it in the CINEMAX marathon, but if this is the DVD, I'm glad I didn't buy it. I suggest a massive boycott. Opinions, please.

I totally agree with you. I mean I also disliked that change in the of Star Wars saga a lot. It was something totally needless, specially because Obi-Wan and Anakin should look both ones older in the rise of New Republic. It's a question of being coherent with the whole story, after all that Anakin played by Hayden died (in a metaphoric way) in the end of Episode III while that one played by Mr. Shaw in the end of Episode VI represented the redemption of this character.

Both Obi-wan and Yoda appear 'after-death' in the image of the day they died. Anakin 'looked' like the younger version when he 'died'. The older version was that of Darth, when he died. It's all the symbolism set in IV: A New Hope when Obi-wan, et al state that Anakin Skywalker was dead. In fact, he became Darth Vader. But at the end of Part 6, he turned from the Dark Side and so became Anakin Skywalker again, then he died, therefore it does make more sense for 'Anakin' appear 'after-death' and not Darth. ;-)

Well, I love the whole Star Wars saga, although, I have to admit, episodes 1 & 2 are quite slow...anyway, I agree with Cookie cutter, and yrs it does sound a little nerd, but aren't we all kind of nerds? I mean, we take time to ask & answer questions here...
I think it's a matter of symbolism. And I love Hayden Christensen in the role od Anakin, totally believable.

I don't plan on boycotting it (already bought it for the kids), but it annoyed the crap out of me as well. I saw no rational explanation for that. In any case HC will never be Darth Vader to me. I LOATHE the Clone Wars era of Star wars. Pure unadulterated CRAP!!!

I didn't really like when they did that either, but I don't think that it is enough to stop watching the movie. It's only a couple seconds that are different. The rest of the movie is still good.

Who really, seriously, honestly actually cares? Those movies were, and still are, beyond a measurable c capacity of boring.
