I don't see any screws to tighten. Is there something I can put on the skids to make them sticky -- or is there a better solution?

on the bottom of the dishwasher are legs you can twist to adjust the height

The unit is not level. The feet (legs) are adjustable, screw them in to lower the unit and out to raise it. Hopefully you have enough room to raise the front of the unit (by screwing them out) without having to adjust the back legs (this will require a little more labor). You might be able to shim the front legs to achieve your goal.

It sounds like your dishwasher needs to be leveled.

look under the washer front for adjusting the front height so it angles back not forward.

it seems that you have problems, not with your washer, but by the leveling, i agree with the others you should have legs on it
if all else fails u can always move
