I had the same thing happen to me about 6 months ago, and what I did was take a brown paper bag put it over the candle wax, and then used a iron to pull the wax away from the carpet.
It worked for me, hope it works for you.

Hi
There is two ways to remove wax from carpet.
1/ Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can .Use a dry clean white terrycloth place it over the wax spot then heat it with a iron on low setting because most homes have polyester carpet, and if the iron gets too hot, it'll melt the carpet. Keep checking the spot every ten seconds or so, moving the terrycloth so that a clean spot is on the carpet.
2/ Which is the better way. Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can Heat up a full kettle of water and pour it slowly on the carpet at the same time with a wet vac vacuum up the water. Keep on doing this until the wax is removed.

you do no longer say if it is sitting on astounding or whether it melted the carpet? If it is nonetheless sitting on astounding, get some ice and after each thing is quite chilly, use a butter knife and scrape it up. you will be waiting to hoover & get lots of the super bits that way, then, using an astounding sort of paper towel and a heat iron, blot at as quickly as down with the iron till you spot the wax melting into the paper towel. it is going to take a whilst however the wax will at last be soaked up by potential of the paper. If it replaced into colored wax it may bypass away some colour at the back of, there's a product stated as triumphing hues which will take in something of the colour. If it melted the carpet you have have been given larger issues.... you is probably no longer waiting to repair.

Heat your iron, take two kitchen paper towels and place them on top of the wax, put the hot iron on top of the paper towels for a few seconds, repeat several times, changing the paper each time, until the paper comes out clean... Then wash the area of the carpet with warm water and some liquid detergent, this should remove the grease remaining in the carpet fibres.
If the detergent doesn't completely remove the stain, do the iron bit again. and try with a kitchen grease removal liquid.... but this should not really be necessary.

two ways... hair dryer or warm iron over a paper towel over the way OR rubbing it with ice and scraping it off with a dull knife.
first way will let it soak into the paper towel but depending on the color of the candle and the color of the carpet, it won't get rid of it completely because it would just soak further down.
The ice way is the best way... and after you scrape the most off. get a sharp pair of scissors and just trim off an left over wax/color. The less you trim, the less noticable it will be. (I trimmed off gum that got itself glued and matted into the carpet and I could not find that spot again if you paid me to.) best of luck.

place a paper bag over the stain and iron it, just like you would when making Batik cloth. The kettle of hot water explained above method works very well once you have the bulk of the wax up.
