The USPS will just charge the person you sent it to .02, unless it is a company in which they might send it back.

usually the person that handles your mail if in a small area will not do anything about it .,postal employees do not handle all the mail that goes trough .
unless ?somebody has nothing to do that day ? it does go unnoticed most of the time and go .
it would cost more time than the 2 cents missing on your letter to be send back ....
and since most mail go trough the bar code reader ,even if you hand-wrote the letter ;they probably will never be noticed .if in a big city ? please do not worry about it ...the post-office handles millions of letters a day ........
it would be very odd that your letter will be noticed ....and i would be so surprised !!!!!!!!
i know )))

Yes, the mail man/woman will get all mad that the stamp is 2 cents short and send it back to ya......Our government is like that!

Well, maybe or maybe not. Depends on how busy your local post office is. Some will return it to you, or charge the recipient 2 cents . . . but many post offices are too busy to worry about it, especially during the holiday season.

Yes, it should get sent back to you unless for some reason someone misses it. But I have sent a letter with too little postage and gotten it back.

They will either send it back to you which sometimes takes forever or they will charge the person it is coming to 2 cents to receive the letter

If the recipient doesn't cough up the extra .02, you just may find it back in your mailbox.
