like to punish those of us that went to college, worked full-time to pay our way through college, worked hard to get good grades, start good careers only to tax us more and have our hard earned money given to the "less fortunate"?

By less fortunate I mean the people that never tried to make a better life for themselves. The people that make so much off the government cheese there is no reason for them to look for a job because other people are paying taxes.

yes, but it's not really punishment, it's more guilt. why? because they feel guilty about their own wealth and the fact that there are people in this country that don't have it (wealth). and don't have the opportunity to have it. are they willing to make changes in society that will change the dynamic? no. because they need the impoverished vote. what baffles me is that these people, these poor people who have nothing who keep voting in these democrats who do nothing to improve the situation of their voters have not learned yet that they are being tricked.

I now vote democrat, I am educated, I own a few different businesses, most of my clients are millionaires, including owners of brand names I am quite sure you have heard of and different Doctors, Surgeons and business owners, and my wife and myself are in the top 6% of income earners. Trust me, most of them have a much more left leaning and democratic views than I do. While I also have many wealthy clients who are republican who believed in small government and balanced budget and the least government control the better, who are very disillusioned by today's Republican Party, most liked Clinton and though he was fair to the majority of people. What I find amazing is people in the middle class and lower middle class who say they are Republicans nowadays when nothing good has happened to them under republican rule, I see uneducated people who are taught to think Republicans are better than Democrats and things like you mentioned, I see very uninformed people think Republican is white collar and Democrat is Blue collar, that is so far from the truth, to quote 2 doctors I know, the first says, people have to understand we are all in this together, we have to look out for each other, its kind of like if the power goes down, all different people have to get involved for the good of all, The other Doctor likes to call himself an independent thinker unlike the present Republican party. While the Democratic party can have some FAR LEFT people in it that I don’t agree with, look at the alternative, the every man for him self, the eat the young and screw your neighbor if it will make you more money of the FAR RIGHT.

PS: Do you know what makes me sick, most people who actually made there own riches from scratch are democratic, and its sickening when I see people who inherited there money or was given an opportunity that most do not have, feel they are better than the others when many people that have so much less are so much smarter and deserve it so much more.

Being Democratic also means everyone should have a fair chance, unlike what you are taught. and I think most democrats were for welfare reform, We believe in a hand up, not really a hand out, but if someone can not LIGITIMATLY take care of them self’s, we need to look out after them, but we need to boot out the people who take advantage of it.

Yes, i went to the grocery store earlier today and i was made to wait in line behind an individual who purchased $191.00 dollars of prime cuts of meat with her food stamps. I know that i was made to wait because i have a Masters degree and wanted to pay cash from the hard earned money that i have left after i pay my Penalty for graduating from college.

I'm a Democrat, worked hard, graduated with a BSBA, middle class, was a single Mom that never took a dime from the government. But I was always aware that my son and I were a few steps away from being homeless or needing assistance-losing my job, losing insurance, unforseen medical problems..You're right-luck has a lot to do with even if you do everything "right"

That seems to be the effect of their policy. Whether it's a conscience decision or they just don't get the hypocrisy is up for debate? Some of them, I think do have a genuine desire to help people, they just don't realize that too much help does just the opposite. But, there's also those who use the 'less fortunate' as political pawns to further their own agendas.

No, they don't do that. Sometimes they give tax cuts to the middle-class. Like they're going to do now. You sound kind of greedy, isn't it humanitarian to help others in need? Not by using government but by using private charities? Like Compassionate conservatives do? I think charities are best to help the ones truly in need.

They don't "like to punish" anyone and neither do republicans.
Do republicans hate to help the struggling people who may not have gone to college and may not have great careers by not supporting them with any sort of programs?
My point: Democrats are not any worse.
