They don't HAVE to. If you went natural all the time with practically zero makeup and just a simple hairstyle, then you're maintaining your looks without any effort. Normally, guys don't spend time on appearance. Simple. After all, makeup does not neccessarily mean beauty, and it takes a lot longer, anyways. =)

that's not exactly true a girl has to mack the decision if she wants to change her hair style or if she wants to be the same old same old guys are too lazy and caught up in stupid stuff and they are players they are with a different girl every week they don't care what they look like I'm mean look i haven't changed the way i look since last year i only wear my hair two different ways and no one ever says hey look at her shes so boring

well, i'm a girl and i look like crap when i get out of bed, so i have to do something to myself to keep myself fresh and cool....sheesh, now i sound like a douche commercial....you know what i mean.....society expects women to look a certain way

We actually do it mostly for ourselves, and to compete with other women. Men do not compete with other men by using makeup and such, they compete by acting macho and being strong.
