Does anyone know what the term Drug Accommodation means?

During a recent drug round up someone mentioned the term Drug Accomodation and Confidential Informant, can anyone tell me what these two words mean. Thank You, and Happy Turkey Day.

When the police make an arrest they will offer to stay charges if someone turns informant in the hopes of landing a large fish. This is what was being discussed here.
