Remote Control for /Intervideo Home Theater...not working after batt. changing?

Question

My Win Intervideo Home Theater remote stopped working after changing the batteries. The infrared light on the receiver flickers when I press buttons but the software itself is not responding.

Ok, I've been on this site long enough to know that at least one of you knows the answer. I've been to the geek sites...yep they're geeks. I think my problem wasn't interesting enough for them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

maybe the batteries you used to replace were not good.
