I think so because I know if you dial 911 from your phone they can find you, so there's gotta be something in you phone transmitting a signal, also I watch alot of forensic shows on discovery and if a person makes a cell phone call they can pinpoint where the person was when they made the phone call, that is how they caught this one guy who killed three guys.

Very few phone have GPS. However, base stations can find out where you are using triangulation or time delays. Accuracy is 50m in built up areas and 500m in the country side. No special features are needed on the phone

YES your mobile could be fund using GPS if ur mobile has a GPS installed in it and also has the specified hardware...like (N95 and few HP models of phones)
Else using the IMEI number of your mobile the almost approximate location of yours can be traced(but this needs a high level official persons to do it)
