If you see your life as a duty, if you are a reliable man, if you feel the pressure that lies on your shoulders, if you understand your importance in this huge world, how many people count on you and trust you as well, you will exclaim the same: "life is too short !"
In fact this doesn't mean years, months or days. It means usefulness, kindness, lessons to take into account.
I see this life as a laboratory to something bigger. I have to do my best, not to repeat millenary mistakes. It doesn't matter how many years I live. It only matters how I spend them.

you must be young ,the older you get the faster the years go ,a lot of people do not have enough time to do everything they want to do ,
you must be bored ,find something that interest you and you will also end up saying that life is too short
this is something that people who enjoy life ,say.

When you are young--you have plenty of free time and very naive. As you get older, the responsibilities add up and time seems to fly.
If you do not enjoy your life--you are missing out on something valuable. Find something to be passionate about and you will loss track of time.

People say life is to short because you never know when your time is up. You do not know how long you are going to be on this earth. It is up to God to decide when you leave this earth. If it is your time to go then it is your time to go. People die as young as birth. or as old as 108. It is not up to us when we leave this earth.
