I live close to vegas and it is enjoyable most months of the year. I would avoid august because it is hot and more humid than you might expact making for uncomfortable weather.
I enjoy vegas best at the beggining of May. The daylight is longer and the days are hot but not unbearable. I love walking the strip in the warmth at night and watching the lights and the crowds. most childeren are still in school so you wont have to deal with them either.
Winter can be quite cold if you pick the wrong week.

I would say September or in the spring April or May. I was just there last week it was nice during the day (low 70s) but a bit chilly at night (low to mid 50s).
Bring lots of money or do your dining/drinking off strip. I could not believe how expensive it is now. A drink at the Bellasio cost me $15, while a drink at the Greek Isles Casino cost $4.50.
My suggestion would be to stay off strip ($50-$75 per night) and rent a car. Dine off strip at a regular restuarant or buffet. The Buffet at the Rio cost $35 per person and you have to pay gartuity before you dine (keep in mind it is a buffet and you serve yourself!).

Figure the best time is right after NFR and before new years eve. basicly after thanksgiving.
With the holidays coming, the major events tend to no happen. So the hotels have great deals. Some shows take breaks or cut back on times. deals can be found in all areas of tourism...

I have been in many different seasons and I love it all year round but for weather I would say about April (Spring). Summer is fun and crowded and blazing hot. Winter is a tad breezy and a little dead but still fun

winter months are best as its a tiny bit cooler then and you can enjoy more things. summers are horribly hot and unless you are intending to stay indoors all day and night go in the winter months

JK... Winter months are cooler at night so bring a jacket! Days are still pretty warm!

New Years is always fun. There's a lot of drunk people though. The fireworks are amazing.

Any time between October to April.I was there in July and it was too hot to enjoy.
