If so, when and why? What holidays? What style? What design? What activities?

To the person who asked "Why the Stupid Question"

f you think its a stupid question, then don't answer it. It certainly is your right not to answer. I happen to think it is not a stupid question. Aprons seem to be making a comeback, so I'm more curious as to why.

No, I won't. I don't have much use for aprons--I feel (no matter how loosely they are around my waist and neck) that I'm being choked and that I have a tight belt on. :) I make a point to wear an old t-shirt and shorts/sweats when I cook. As ashamed as I am to admit it, I wipe my hands on the hem of my shirt and occasionally on the legs of my pants. I know I know--sloppy, but you know--it's how I was raised. And yes--I do change my outfit before I sit down to eat!

I also keep a dishtowel on the counter nearby to wipe my hands. And if it's something semi-dangerous (raw egg, raw meat, etc.) I wash with soap and water (then dry on the hem of my shirt). LOL :D

This applies to holiday cooking as well as every day cooking/baking. I do have an apron. I bought it at Williams Sonoma and it's red and white vertical stripes with a nice large pocket it in the front. It hangs on the inside of the pantry door and collects dust. :)

Absolutely while I cook. As the host you have to look lovely so you want to protect your clothes with an a full apron. I have many as I used to own a french store and we sold them. By the way they are not big sellers. But ever cook needs one. It is so nice to be able to wipe your hands on your apron when you are cooking. I also owned a Cooking School and own some Chef jackets, they are really great to wear when you are cooking too. You can buy them online and they make a great holiday gift with the person name embroidered on them.

Yeah when I'm cooking I'll wear it during Christmas, definitely turkey day, but not on Halloween because I don't have anything too cook on that specific holiday.
Now answer me this... why the stupid question? (IM me back or just send me an email to answer my question.
