i.e got devhook on my psp 1gb memory card all i want to know is can i copy the contents of my memory card to say a formatted 4gb card , plug the card into the psp switch it on and it will be business as usual or will i have to install devhook from scratch

If you already installed it on the PSP and you have the same data on the new stick then you would be fine.

It shall work just fine. I recall that PSP programs do not require to setup and usually when you "launch it", it starts to get processed. Thus Devhook shall be portable and you can transfer to your new card and "Launch it" from the new card and it should work just fine.
