We looked at Amusement Today but it was too expensive. What are some other magazines?

Amusement Today's the standard by which most others are judged.
There is one out of the European Coaster Club that you get with membership there, but it's about $45/year.
Also, you can join ACE (American Coaster Enthusiasts) at aceonline.org where you get both a newsletter as well as a subscription to their magazine.
Both of these groups are excellent for both the information as well as the perks being a member so you can go to events!

Cedar element in Sandusky, Ohio and 6 Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA are the two huge thrill parks. in case you haven't any longer been to the two, i could propose Magic Mountain, as its X2 is taken into consideration one of only 2 of its style interior the international, and that's a good trip. If you just want the news, join a coaster-related forum such as coasterbuzz.com, and check other regularly-updated coaster sites online, such as screamscape.com.
But if you want the real paper stuff, Amusement Today seems to be the only option. (or ACE)
