There are 3 dials each with 10 possible digits. Therefore there are 10*10*10 combinations, or 1000 possible combinations.

I believe the others are wrong, but I don't mean that in a bad way. I believe the Master lock company wants you to think that there are 1,000 different possibilities, but I believe they only use the even numbers on the dial, and they never use the same number twice in a combination. This drops the calculation down to 5X4X3 which is 60 possible combinations. (But I could be wrong).

I dunno what a three dial master lock is but i am assuming it is one with 3 numbers in the opening code? in that case it is 10 x 10 x 10 which is 1000 possibilities

1000. 000-999 are all the possible combinations. So if you count from 001 to 999 you get 999. Add on 000 and you get 1000!
