I think it most likely. After all, they are heading towards the time in the near future when there is going to be a large comet coming towards the world, which will give the Fire Nation unlimited power. Their only chance to defeat the Fire Nation is when just a short time before that there is scheduled to be a solar eclipse, when the Fire Nation will be at their weakest. If the information is true, (as of 11/17's episode) the Water Nation, led by Kitara's father, is heading for the Earth Nation to help with the war. But this info might be in doubt, since the other note to the young black haired girl (the blind earthbending girl, forget her name offhand) was a trap to catch her and take her back to her father.
The other notes could simply have been traps set by the Earth Nation's ex-Prime Minister, who was behind the cover-up of the war to keep the Earth King ignorant of what's going on.
So there's a good chance that while the war IS just over the horizon, it might take a while for the storyline to get there.....

probably in an upcoming event but then there would b no show so y fight them when the whole show is about then trying to save villages and hide from the firenation

Oh. With some unluck. The show will get canned sometime before that. They like to do that all the time with action cartoons that are slowly loseing the candy coating and are getting "too scary and violent" for the children.
Dont get me wrong. I really loooove the show. Its just that ive seen too many awesome shows get canned like this (Samurai Jack, Teen Titans). And if this one goes. Im just going to give up on all action cartoons altogether from Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.

yes he will but he has to w8 till a solar eclipse because that's when the fire nation looses there fire bending powers that way it will be easyer to defeat the fire nation!!!!!!
