Are you planning on just visiting or coming for the entire program?

If the former then it will be difficult to find a school that can help you financially and in that case I recommend looking into local options in your own country/city/institution to see if they have exchange programs you may be able to join.

If the latter is the case, that is, you want to get your college degree in the US then it's important for you to know that the top private school (not the public ones!) give lots of assistance with cost of schooling. So if they deem you a good match for the school and admit you then you have a good chance of getting serious financial assistance in the form of grants and loans. However, this is much less likely to happen at public schools, so be careful.

Admissions information on school Web sites/forms should say whether they give aid to international students.

Good luck!

Try Mohawk Valley Community College WWW.MVCC.EDU

As far as I know, this college is one of the best ( of community colleges in NY).

The tuition is relatively fair, this is my first semester and I have seen quite a few International Students who were attracted to this college because the price and level of education.

The following link could give an idea http://apps.collegeboard.com/search/CollegeDetail.jsp?collegeId=1318&profileId=9

Good luck

Ps: try also Herkimer College ( is few miles away from MVCC)

Education is the same at all of them in the end. It really depends on what your major is. Find a school that excels in your major. And decide where in the US you'd like to live. Start there. There's almost an infinite number of colleges to choose from. I would suggest a smaller school. I would not want to go to a school of 40,000 people or more, you're just a number. My school was 6,000 and I thought that was a great size.

that is totally high priced till you have scholarships. you are able to prepare for scholarships for each college you prepare to. expenditures selection from college to varsity, from $10,000/3 hundred and sixty 5 days as much as $50,000/3 hundred and sixty 5 days. that is one reliable reason to stay interior the united kingdom. you are able to inspect "forex pupil classes" even although all of those i've got heard of incorporate for top faculties--no longer college.
