i have endometriosis and had surgery last week to remove the scar tissue. 2 weeks before the op i was delighted to find i was pregnant after 2 years of trying and two miscarriages. The delight was shortly lived when i found i was miscarrying for the 3rd time. I went throught with the op and my consultant done extra tests and found i have polycystic ovaries. He said during surgery he could see the cysts but was not too concerned as i had conceived and my periods are pretty regular. He is quite positive that i still have a chance. I was advised though to start taking folic acid and other vitamins and minerals and to have further tests to see the possibiltiy of taking medication to help me along the way. I feel for you so much because i know the pain that is involved and how much of a emothional rollercoaster it is. I hope and pray our time will come
good luck xxx

I m/c at 9 weeks 3 years ago with a long awaited baby. I have PCOS and scarred Fallopian tubes. We tried IVF and I am now the happy mother of a lovely baby boy of 11 months. Never give up hope and keep trying but give yourself some time to mourn for what you have lost first.

I wish you the very best of luck.

I would talk with the doctor once atleast 3 months have passed about getting on Clomid or another medication to help improve your chances of pregnancy. In the mean time take vitamins and stuff to make sure you have a healthy body for the baby.
You need to wait a period of time (ushually 6 months) to let your body recover from a loss of pregnancy. Otherwise you risk your body rejecting the next baby as well.

polycystic ovaries can make it harder to carry a baby, not necessarily stop you from becoming pregnant in the first place. It all depends on how much scarring you have inside you. You have proved you can become pregnant, so the first hurdle has been overcome, now you have to keep trying to see how long you can carry a pregnancy for. It is probably just bad luck as miscarriage is VERY common, i think its about 1 in 5 pregnancies at the moment. Be positive, you know you can get pregnant so keep trying while you still have the chance, as if you wait too long your ovaries may get worse.

I'm guessing you were told you would never get preg because of the pcos, I have it myself, and doctors dont know alot about it and 6 years ago they new even less. But it certainly does not mean you will never get preg and that you wont be able to maintain a pregnancy and have a healthy baby.

I would go and see a fetility specialist to try and help you achieve that again. It is great that you managed to get preg once completely on your with no help as this means you ovulated that month which is a big this with pcos, because the reason we have it is because our bodies struggle to ovulate. Another downfall with pcos is that there is a higher risk of misscarriage but you can be helped with this. Ask your doctor about a drug named metformin it is used for pcos sufferes to help regulate their bodies to try to get them to ovulate, and you keep taking it for the first three months of your pregnancy to help lower the chance of miscarriage.

Good luck

i was told that i would need hep to get preg with clomid because of my pcos so i read on the web about" natural 'treatment for pcos-
it included losing weight ,a practically wheat-free,and no refined -carbohydrate diet,i tried to eat organic when i could afford it,and exercised at least 4 times a week,it was recommended to do sustained aerobic exercise for at least 40 mins in duration 4 times a week,so i took up running and invested in a personal trainer[-it can be power-walking \cycling\whatever......]it also advised having a look at my whole environment and the chemicals in it,so i tried to examine how many perfumes,air-fresheners etc and tried to limit that-hey it cant hurt!
now i dont know what if any of that worked, but i have conceived 3 times with no clomid etc,i have 2 healthy children, unfortunately my last pregnancy ended in miscarriage in october so im thinking that i must do something about my health again-i was taking it for granted-it is difficult to find time these days-look after yourself, dont put pressure on yourself enjoy the baby-making for its own sake
because i didnt think i would get pregnant i had one period and was pregnant without realising after coming off the pill!
it is far from your only chance -let your dr know you are trying so that if you dont get pregnant soon enough they are aware, and can send you for testing.
i found a new friend in myfertilityfriend.com
tells you how to look for signs of ovulation.....
best of luck

You should make an appt with a fertility specialist. It's pretty rare to be told you will *never* get pregnant. There's a lot of options now.

I suggest you try to lose some weight and stay healthy. Medicine can help with your menstrual cycle, abnormal hair growth and acne. If you have diabetes or high blood pressure, they have to be treated.

Wow, you have to be an quite reliable lady to be combating with the aid of 2 undesirable misfortunes like this. First the ovarian ailment, compounded by utilising an inadeqaute husband, i for my area experience for you sister. My elementary advice is detect a clean guy, that would not ought to signify leaving your husband nevertheless. basically a companion to soundly grant adeqaute seed into your womb. of direction your husband needs this for you, he could do it himself if he ought to, yet that's not in the enjoying cards for you 2 it form of feels. If he loves you, he will set aside his silly satisfaction and dignity and settle for a coupling between you and a guy as many circumstances as is needed which you would be able to conceive. Many a stable yet incapable guy has given this present of like to his spouse, and if yours won't you may prefer to noticeably evaluate his dedication to you and his worthiness as a life companion.

Sorry for your loss.
But i'd keep trying. If nothing happens you could always try IVF or adoption.
Good luck :o)
